Teaching music has become my passion @ipizzani

Hello friends of hive and @Q-Inspired community. I have little time on this platform and today I want to tell you a little about one of the experiences that has been changing my life for two years. I never visualized myself doing this in a more professional way and in 2020, after graduating from the conservatory in the area of basic music studies, I was presented with an opportunity to teach in a public institution. There I would be in charge of the musical and cultural part where I would work with high school students, when they offered it to me, I thought about it because I had never been in a classroom with so many young people, if I had had the opportunity to teach music to some people, but one or two, instead in a classroom is difficult because there are 30 students in a single environment. After several weeks and weeks of thinking about it, analyzing it and seeing if it would be feasible, I decided to take on this new challenge both musically and professionally, and after so much paperwork I began this new experience of teaching music, full of expectations and uncertainties of what I would find at the time of teaching.

Previously I had had the opportunity to accompany in some musical activities, to the institution that opened its doors to me and therefore I met some students who had musical gifts, which were of great help at the beginning, because in the institution never worked a teacher in the area of music and the directors wanted to form a group that was the institutional choir. When I was presented with this idea or this project, it was what motivated me to accept and want to work on it.

So we started this experience of the institutional choir, where at the beginning there were only 5 students from different years, the same ones that I met some time ago when I supported some activities at the school. Seeing their interest in music and wanting to learn this beautiful art, looking for any space to meet and learn together and see what we wanted to do and present to the whole community of the institution, still fills me with satisfaction to this day.

After several weeks of rehearsals and training, the day of our first presentation arrived, where we performed traditional songs of our country. The people who were present, seeing the talent and ability of these young people, were amazed and excited. This gave me more desire to continue betting on the musical education of our young people. From then on, the group of our members grew to 7, then 10 and now we have 15 students in our choir "called the Song of the turpial", a name chosen by the students themselves, since they identify with this bird for its beauty, for its singing and for being our national bird. Thanks to this opportunity we have been able to participate in institutional events, where they have made themselves known and have demonstrated the beautiful talent they have with music.

This project has been a challenge, since I have had different young people with totally different realities, as I have already told you, it is a variety of students from 1st to 5th grade who make up this group. I have had the opportunity to share with some young people with special conditions, who have also been encouraged to participate because they see in music a way to express their feelings and to integrate with other classmates. It is nice to know that music, transcends and that despite our realities of life can always unite us as friends, family and classmates, I am very happy that everyone has this opportunity to participate and learn more every day, this gift.
