W211 - Classic Metal

We're goin back to some tunes that never go out of style, some serious metal. The late 90's and the early 00's had some serious metal maniacs creating masterpieces that still stand the test of time.

I chose these three particular tunes, because they ooze hard core metal and I am still here for it. I will be till I exit stage left I suppose lol. If I only had these three tunes to listen to and that's it.. I could manage. 😎

First up we have: Revolution Is My Name by Pantera

Revolution Is My Name.. is track six on the from Reinventing The Steel album released on 5/21/2000. If this doesn't get your blood flowing go to the ER immediately! 😁

This is my all time favorite Pantera tune, they certainly delivered some high quality metal here. What needs to said? Dime is making it look easy, Vinnie is pounding those skins like a machine, Rex and Phil adding the final layers of a legendary track. Mmm.. chefs kiss here. 😎

Next up we have Duality from Slipknot which is track four from the Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses album released: 5/25/2004. This one is my favorite from Slipknot, because this is the best lineup of all time for this band.

I like the newer albums with Jay and Vman as well. Although I don't care for their attitude in getting rid of drummers the way they do, but we're not here to rehash their it's a business bullshit. 🤡

We're here for the tunes.. and this one certainly delivers.

Next up we got the final selection.. Detox from Strapping Young Lad which is track four from the City album released on 2/11/1997. The vibe on this song captured me long ago. Dunno what it is, maybe the mix of the lyrics and the music just hits you in the face and you can feel it in your soul.

I know a lot of people feel the same way as me. This song is just freakin awesome, and I go crazy listening to it. I feel these lyrics.

I've got a feeling
With the wrong people
And I can't control my thoughts

I wish that I could sleep
And just get this over with
This is only high school bullshit
