W104 - It's Game Time Baby!

Rise and shine people.. time to get some tunes goin on! I am going make this post tackle a few items all in one go, Three Tune Tuesday and Songs on Rising Star.

These three songs I released in 2022.. right in the middle of the storm. But we are here today to breathe some fresh air into them as I have remastered these specifically for NFTs in the Rising Star game on HIVE.

First up we got Signposts, this video is the original version, and is meant to get your butt outta the chair and on the move.. we all need a break now and then! 😆

Next we have the remastered song, I uploaded to Soundcloud as demo. I'll be taking it down after this post is dusted. This one has got more bass, with expanded mids and highs.. this is how the song is intended to be. I put the petal to the metal 😃

Next up we got The Dying Days

This song is very personal to me, as it is about the days and the passing of my Mother. It is supposed to be tense with ups and downs.. and some jabs with the kicks here and there. @snook says it makes her a bit sad.. well then I call that a success! 😄 You can listen to the new clip click the link:

This one is meant to take you on a trip.. where you can escape the mundane activities of the day. If you got some natures best to enhance the ride.. you know what to do. 🤠

Rising Star is the most legit game on HIVE in my opinion. It has a thriving community, with lots of giveaways and contests where you can snag cards and starbits. Players can also earn a share of the record sales via staking:

I really dig this game.. I can share some tunes as I intended them to be, not stepped on to make sure that all the streaming services don't cut the tune to shreds with all the requirements for each. Now it's just me and you.. the listener with no middle man. 😀

After Drug Wars.. I swore off games on chain and said never again.

Rising Star has restored my faith, and I appreciate what the Rising Star team provides for players and artists. 🤘

There are a few games that are in the works that I hope prove to be just as legit.

The remastered version of Signposts is phenomenal, it got me jiving. The section from 3:53 to about 4:10 literally sounds like a conversation between two people. Awesome.

I'm so sorry to read about the death of your mom. That's so hard. Your song Dying Days is full of anxiety and pain. The dissonance from using minor chords works really well, I felt all manner of things, like inner turmoil and the "voice" seemed like thoughts trying to reason with something, that's how it felt to me. The end being so abrupt totally threw me off, I was expecting it to kind of fade out.

Portals is nice and deep. I could listen to this while driving and get lost in thought. It definitely takes you places.

Rad songs. I admire you, I only wish I could make music.

As for the songs I am glad that you liked them.. signposts and some instruments talking to each other.. you've a keen ear, exactly as I intended. Awesome!

The Dying Days.. yes it was a very tense time as I moved my Mother into my house and took care of her till the end. And it must have translated into the song more than I know. As for the end.. yeah it was very abrupt.

Portals.. that is great I am glad that you dig it and wouldn't mind a drive with the song.

Even though I can't sing anymore (I was in a choir for 7 years as an Alto), I still have pitch perfect hearing which is a blessing and a curse lol.

You have an excellent way of transferring emotion into your music which I admire. I look forward to more of these in the future.

I've heard {read} a bit about Rising Star, but I'm not much of a gamer so haven't even checked it out. Is it anything like Splinterlands because I would probably suck at it horribly then 🤣

Forgot to add about the game.. its a bit different from Splinterlands.. in this game you have to work on building your band and brand and etc.. it is more mission based which is good. But there is competition to drive game with things like the new Raves feature that is coming.

Beautiful transformation. To immortalize her and transmute the pain. It's interesting how, some days, we just aren't able to see certain things. Isn't it? It's understandable when they hurt too much or are too frightening.

It's actually a mechanism in the brain that does this, btw. To protect us from things that seem to "dangerous" to take on. It's not you. It's your Amygdala.

Awesome! My favourite of the bunch is the bass-enhanced version of Signposts, but The Dying Days was definitely really awesome too.

Go you @inthenow, these are really accomplished tracks, well done. It's something I keep meaning to get into myself at some stage, would love to experiment with some music and samples of people talking and try to get some tracks down. Never got around to it. Any advise on a good place to start in terms of equipment or software - free would be good!!

Really impressed with your re-mastered tunes though and I don't think I heard The Dying Days before - that's got to be very emotional to listen back to, but maybe cathartic in a way too..

Best thing to do at first is get a good DAW that you can work with that is comfortable to you.. Cakewalk is free.. and Ableton has a free 90 day trial... there are free options and pro versions.. Abelton is the Best of the bunch IMO.. just start small and build your knowledge base. Be prepared to read a lot at first to get your feet wet.

I thought of apologizing back there in the comments, but remember I already did apologise and make clear that my rant is not your fault. Honestly. And I'm so very sorry you were caught in the cross fire. Dishonesty is a trigger for me. Still. And I need to address the last vestiges of the PTSD caused by *other people's dishonesty". See? Trigger. Not you.

What did come to mind as I pondered this, after I saw your post, is that you're probably pretty badly triggered round about now. So please reach out on Discord if you need support with that :(

But... it is interesting how this "stuff" unfolds, huh? The way life presents us with almost the same situations, in order for us to heal if we walk through them with awareness. I know quite a bit about this stuff as it turns out. I can provide assistance here big time. Probably more so due to my own situation. And my new ability to be in it honestly. You may not have had this opportunity with your mom. Western culture is terrified of death. We don't want to address it or talk about it. And people who are in it, helping those towards it or are grieving after it are completely abandoned.

It's fucking ridiculous, since we are all headed towards it and it is an inevitable part of life. And being left alone to deal with the reality of it?

This creates trauma.

It's less the event than the isolation and lack of support during it.

So please reach out on Discord and I can give you my number. And I can support to make amends and, maybe, even to help you progress and let go in full now. If you don't do this work, this may well continue to come back around over and over again. It's not necessary... especially to do it alone.

Here. Fully present, grounded and peaceful. As always. I did have to step up back then to share some disappointment in humans being only human. It is my path, you see. And the only way I've found to stay properly awake and present through other people's drama and dreams. And the only way to also, maybe, initiate change in some individuals who are unwilling to sit, talk and work things out like rational adults. Also ridiculous. Really.
