Who knew the allergies of video game characters could affect the VAs that play them

Erika Harlacher is the English voice of Venti in Genshin. Thanks to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike many VAs for the game haven't been able to record their lines. This has ruined so much of the game's English version lately including the Archon Quest itself and the much anticipated birthday of Nahida. Anyway I decided to fill in the blanks myself. It's only the one character and this "event" was really short so I thought I might as well.

Unfortunately when girls voice guy characters there's this distinct scratchiness in their voice. This is actually how many boys voices sound myself included. But when we hit puberty and our male voices drop a little we lose that. Therefore unfortunately I couldn't mimic that part of Erika's performance and my Venti comes off way too low for his character. O well. I also couldn't mimic this thing Erika does with her Venti that I don't know how to describe. I'm pretty sure it has a term for it in vocal training but I'm not a vocal coach.

Anyway if you play the game lemme know if my version was passed or failed haha. And if you don't play lemme know in your opinion if I sounded like the character I was portraying.
