Hello brothers and sisters, We are IndonesiaBersatu, a Punk Rock band from Medan, Indonesia. Praise God, we were able to gather in a coffee shop with all the complete band personnel, but we did not bring complete musical instruments, so we used only makeshift musical instruments. So, the weekly #openmic event has now entered week 157 with the theme The God We Worship. This theme was chosen by our spotlight artist @williansmarquez. This is an interesting theme, so we performed a cover song called Satu in English is One by Dewa-19, an Indonesian band. Released in 2002 on the album Cintailah Cinta.

Btw, we apologize for the many mistakes in the songs we played. This is because we used virtual drums that I just installed on my Android phone. Our drummer is not used to playing cell phone drums so many beats are wrong. Once again we apologize. This week's theme is quite religious especially when it is still the month of Ramadan. So, the song we chose is a song that has multiple interpretations in its meaning. Because, for some people, this song tells the story of a coveted lover. But for me, this song has elements of Sufism in the teachings of Tasawuf. For your information, Tasawuf or Sufism is a part of Islamic teachings that leads to mystical and spiritual traditions to clear the mind and calm the soul.

In this song, there is a message that tells us that humans are an integral part of God. In Sufism, everything in the universe is a manifestation of God's existence. What we see and also ourselves, actually belong to God and with God's permission, we can do anything. For example, we can walk because we are entrusted with feet by God, we can speak because we are entrusted with a tongue by God, and everything we can do is entrusted by God. So we must use that entrustment well and wisely.

The lyrics of this song are a reflection for all of us, that in this world there is nothing that we should be proud of. Because in essence, everything in us belongs to God and will return to God. And what makes me admire this song is the genius of Ahmad Dhani, the writer of this song. He can package the lyrics to be more universal so that it makes the listener multi-interpretative.
