Hello music lovers, I welcome everyone to another week of afri-tunes, a place to celebrate and recognize African musician and their songs.
There's the is uniqueness about African songs that gives an unusual feelings whenever I listen to them which makes me never get tired of listening to them.

This week 83 of Afri-tunes I decided to sing a song by Frank Edwards tittled “Under the canopy”.
This song is a song I have known for some few years, it was released around 2016 but the first time I heard it was from my cousin that came for holiday that time, he started singing and I loved it. I asked him where he got it from and he said they always sing it school.

Immediately I searched for it on google and I realized it is a song by Frank Edwards, I loved it more when I listened to it. Few weeks ago I presented in another community on this blockchain but I realized it is more of indigenous so I made up my mind to do so here

This song is a song of faith and thanks, talking about how God's faithfulness is, His love has given us perfect security from all human manipulations.
He has made a canopy for us to prevent us from rain and dangers of the world, someone who is exposed to external forces is liable to be destroyed but in God we shall not be conquered.

Lyrics;

[Chorus]
Your love has taken over me
Father, I depend on you
I have confidence in you
In you oh Lord,
I put my trust
(Yes, you cover me)
Under the canopy
Give me security
I am the righteousness of God

[Verse 1]
This is my season of increase
I am, lost in your love
Your mercies endures forever
Jehovah Adonai
You no dey play me
(kalo, kalo)
You no dey play me (wayo)
You too dey bless me
(wellu, wellu)
My live no be the same
