JIREH- MY PROVIDER
It’s another time to listen with Hopestylist! I hope this meets you well and I hope you had a great week despite the ups and downs. For me, my week was just filled with so much to be grateful about and today, I was reminded about a gem on my playlist which I’ll love to share with you all today! So without further ado, let’s dive into what I have for you today. But before that, let me give you a brief overview of how my week went and maybe just then you can relate better with why I chose this song to share with you.
My week started off well. I had plans of studying every morning after creating my post on hive since most of my classes starts by 11am. I didn’t really meet up with this plan all the time but I made sure to study for at least 2 hours daily. But unfortunately, I had some urgent things to do at school this week and that affected my study time. Well, I had to do those things too as they are very important for my upcoming examination. Luckily for me, I was able to complete everything I needed to do in just two days when a lot of persons who even started before me are still trying to get theirs done. Mind you, I always made sure to commit my day into God’s hands and he came through for me. It was stressful but at least I accomplished my goals.
This reminded me of the fact that indeed God provides and that is why we call him Jehovah Jireh. And with that in mind, I have brought this song for us to listen to together which is titled JIREH by Maverick city. Even if you’ve listened to this song before, I’ll encourage you to do so again by watching the YouTube video I shared and make sure to turn on caption so you can also see the lyrics. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I have listened to this song and it always hits differently all the time. Today was the first time I listened to the song by watching the video and it was so worth it.
Listening and paying attention to the lyrics gave me more understanding of the song and it helped me reflect on the things that I have to be grateful about. Yes, I lack a lot of things but interestingly I don’t even know who somehow I just have my needs met. I always forget that worrying won’t solve the problem and when I remember, I always like playing this song to remind me that I’m already loved, I’m already chosen, I know who I am and most importantly, I know what God has spoken concerning his children.
The part I love most about this song was the part when Naomi said, “if he dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor, how much more would he cloth you?” This particular part of the lyrics was gotten from the book of Matthew when Christ asked his disciples to consider the lilies of the field, they toil not but their needs are always supplied, how much more we that are his children? So worrying won’t do us any good. All we can do is be grateful for what we have and trust God to continue to provide for us all our needs according to his riches in glory.
As you listen to this song, take your time to reflect on those times you have worried when you shouldn’t have and be reminded that God is not too far that he can’t help you, neither is he deafen that he can’t hear you. As long as you do the things that he has said you should do, and you put your faith and trust in him, he will always, I mean ALWAYS attend to you even better than the lilies of the field and even the sparrows. Never forget, he is Jehovah Jireh for a reason. He will always provide. Do you believe that?
Until next time, stay tuned and be of good cheer!
