HOW IT BEGAN - ITS A NEW DAWN
You all are welcome to the new year!!! It's another great year and we are lucky enough to be part of those who saw this year and that alone is enough for us to be grateful and happy. The year began yesterday being the first of January and since it was Sunday, it made it an interesting day for me but I just didn't enjoyed it as I should. Well, that's the main reason for this post so just stay glued till the end to find out.
My day started off with singing with my family and then prayers. I was very tired the day before yesterday so after the prayers I felt so weak but then I had to still reply to some comments on whatsapp but immediately after I finished that, I went to bed so I could wake up early for church service. I woke up a little bit late and that caused me to go late for the service. I was sad but then there was nothing I could do about it so I just had to focus on the service thereafter.
The service was fantastic because it was a praise Sunday, everyone where so happy, I could see the joy in their faces and we also had a little love feast where we shared some little things with ourselves also. Immediately after the sharing and greeting, we went to take some beautiful pictures but I only have a few which I will share here because I did not take the pictures with my phone.
After the picture taking, we all went home and that was when my tiredness came running down, but I tried to make a post first and also ate before I went to bed. I slept for a very long time but when I woke up I was still feeling tired. I used that time to made some comments on my post and just do other random things at home. My day was okay if you ask me but it was boring after I returned home from the church service.
There was nothing special about my day, it was just almost like my normal Sundays but it felt special because it was the beginning of a new year. I also did well to reach out to some people that I haven't heard from for a long time and we had a really good time talking after a long time.
That was how my first day of the year went and I'm so happy to share it with you. Now I'm wondering how your day went, was it like mine or was more fun? Feel free to share it with me.

One of the only difference between your story and mine is that you didn't mention going for crossover, and how I ate.
I ate and slept and woke and ate and ate again, and rested and ate again...
I did not go for crossover, I just sang and prayed with my family. As for the food, I ate but not as much as I thought, I'm happy you ate and slept 😂.

It's just another day in another calendar year I feel nothing special about it if you ask me.

Exactly! Everything still feels like it's the same, I feel like we are the ones forcing the feeling of new year in, lol.
I only made one person's hair and that is my sister. The stress was not easy for me because I had other things to do and I'm happy I could meet up with them.

Yeah, the thought that is new year is the major thing making me feel it's actually a new year if I want to be sincere.

Well I don't know how to but I'd love to learn if I have someone to teach me.
My first day was very simple compared to your day. I woke up at 9.30 a.m and after taking my breakfast I again went to sleep. After that, I woke up and finished lunch & I went to sleep again. It's because I was very tired. The reason is I didn't sleep for two days very well because there was a family function and for doing several tasks I wasn't able to sleep well.
That's totally understandable, well, the year has started and that's what really matters, hehe.

I've just been busy here and there, you know since it was getting to the ending of the year a lot of things were there to do and I also made my sister's hair which was also stressful too.
Oooooo. My little girl had to do a lot but I know she is capable of dealing things diligently

What matters most is having a nice time and always remain happy. The new year is just like every other day. We wake and the sun comes out and the night sets in. There is no extra hours on the 24 hours.
And yeah you are just like your sister, you both didn’t even go out to celebrate. Instead you remained indoor and relax. Nice one

No other things to do. You need some "me time" I think. That's the only way you can recharge and feel alive again. It's okay to sleep the whole day, not doing anything... Call it a lazy day. And the next morning, get back to work, be busy again. That's life. But don't overwork. 🥰

Mine was great too but hectic. After eating that day, I slept too and woke up in the evening thinking it's another day already 🤣🤣
But why was yours boring? Were there no cousins, nephews who came around? One of my cousins even took me out to eat catfish pepper soup the second day 😋😋
