HIVE OPENMIC WEEK 202 || LIFT ME UP COVER

Helloooo my beautiful music lovers, it's been so many weeks of my inactivity in the Hive openmic community and there are so many excuses that I can give for that but then I did miss being here and I'm happy and proud of myself for doing this today. In as much as I love music, it's just so funny how little things can hinder me from listening to it or singing too. My past months of not being active here has majorly being due to my instability, I've been moving from one place to another and that has really affected me.

Anyways, for this week's Theme "TELL A STORY (CONTAR UNA HISTORIA)", I did a cover of one Rihanna's songs titled LIFT ME UP. This song was released last year and it was a song that trended literally everywhere because of it's attachment to the movie Black Panther. Due to the death of the lead cast of that movie, this song felt really emotional and just right for the movie that was released after his death.

I've always wanted to do a cover of this song myself since it came out but I didn't get the chance until today and here I am hoping that someone loves my cover and also get to enjoy the comfort it brings. The story I'd love to tell with this song is a story that teaches us to have a open arms to those around us. Do you know how it feels to not be scared of what the storms of life brings to you because you have someone's arms to run into?

Day by day we all go through different phases of our lives and trust me most of them is not so easy to live through but when you have someone who is always there trying to share your burden with you, it always feels right. I do hope that this song just makes someone feels uplifted.
