AN AUDITION TO REMEMBER

While I was a little child I loved music and it's all thanks to my dad. At some point I thought my dad was obsessed with music, in fact he is actually obsessed with music. I remember some weeks ago when we were all at home, it was quite late but my dad took the music player and started playing music even at the loudest volume and the funny thing was that the songs were mostly western songs even though he would have preferred his traditional songs. But I'm sure at that point all he wanted was just to hear the sound of music, hehe.

The fact that I grew up under such a father has also made me love music so much that it is the best and easiest way to get my attention (if you know you know). And because of how much I loved music, I guess that also made me grew interest in singing also. Back then, we even had a children singing group which we did just for fun, even though we hoped to get a sponsor, hehe.

As time went by, my interest in music and singing never depreciated instead I loved it even more. I was 14 years old when I joined an acapella singing group. The most interesting part of joining the group was that, I was part of the foundation, hehe (pidgin : that one too go sweet me, lol). Our first audition as a group back then was one of the best and most memorable moments of my life.

We were able to pass through the audition stage and we went for the main concert which we were the best singing group that presented that day. I remember how my legs were shaking like someone who got drained in a heavy downpour, lol. I never knew auditions were that hard, especially for those of us that were born and brought up in stage fright, haha.

Well, after our first win, we became stars wherever we went to and even back at home and of course, so many people became interested in been a part of our singing group (who doesn't like to be part of the winning team?). Well, we knew we needed as many people as we could get so we made room for people to come in. At first we just allowed people to join based on the fact that they were interested and were close but that changed because as expected, abuse set in.

Due to that, we started auditioning anyone who was interested in joining us. Guys, that was when it all started (I mean the funny story, hehe). First there was one girl who has a good voice but then we kept waiting for her to sing unknowingly to us, she has already sang, like what the heck! Well we saw her lips moving but we never knew she was singing, personally I thought she was trying to get the lyrics right or something.

And just when I thought it was over, there was this other girl who came to be auditioned. Remember the first girl was not audible, well this other girl was a complete opposite, in fact our ear drum went through a lot (is not as if she was not a good singer though). While she was singing, it was as if she had an unfinished dream because her eyes were closed all through her presentation. I guess she was also born and raised in stage fright *(she's my sister in that business, hehe). *

Well, we still let them join us with some conditions which in a long run they couldn't keep up with and they had to stop on their own without anyone telling them to. And now I hope you know why I said I was happy I was part of the foundation because I'm very sure auditioning wouldn't have been easy for me too, hehe but here am I laughing at others, haha.

So guys that was my funny story and I do hope it was funny to you because I can't really say it was because I feel like my life has become too serious lately taht sometimes I'm not even sure if something is funny or not, so bear with me.

Until next time, stay AWESOME and JIGGY!!!
