Time for a #threetunetuesday post, as originally created by @ablaze

So I've never tried this before, so here goes, but I'm a massive music lover (who aint) so I should be able to pull it off (hopefully). So I'll just say that my music tastes are very wide, there is nearly no genre that I dont like. But on the whole I simply like well written, well produced, melodic music - easy ! And being a guitar player, I'm also a massive fan of guitar based music - which features heavily in this weeks picks.

So first up is a song I've been listening to a lot these last few months. I heard it on the radio about 6 months, and just loved it straight away.

Sam Fender - Spit of You. I just love the guitar work in this, especially the intro, and its great to hear a young artist these days with great guitar based songs. Its not that common.

Next up is a tune I've been listening to for years from one of my fav bands - Rush. I just love this song, and have been listening to it and the album of the same name a lot recently.

Rush- A Farwell to Kings. This song has a great guitar intro again, and then fantastic musician ship throughout. For me its a song that sort of bridges Rush's 70s and 80s periods, which are quite distinct. I prefer their 80s music, and this song and album really shows them moving in that direction when it came out in 1977.

However, the video aint up to much - what should you expect from a prog rock band in the 70s !!!! And poor Geddy, the front man, as great as he is, he never really found a hairstyle that suited him until the last few decades !!!

And next up is a song I stumbled upon totally by chance on Spotify a few weeks ago. It autoplayed after I was listening to Steve Vai's Passion and Warfare.

MattRach - You. I'd never heard of this guy before, and just loved the tune as soon as I heard it. I know guitar instrumentals are not everyone's cup of tea - but hey ho, I really like em.

He pulls out some pretty impressive shreds latter in the tune - the guy really knows how to play, and I'd go as far as to say thats its one of the best guitar instrumentals I've ever heard.

OK, so thats my 3 tunes for this week - I hope I didnt put you off too much!!!

Credits: I've tried my best to link to official band/artist posted videos from youTube.

Welcome to jungle my friend, you will find many like minded genre surfers here on #ttt

That Sam Fender song is very good, great melodies and lyrics. If you really like Sam, then I recommend that you check out a guy called Ren, just search on Youtube, amazing musician, singer and human.

Rush- A Farwell to Kings -- Great intro is right, have not heard this some in the longest time, thanks for the reminder, my ears will send a thank you card!

Finished out the trio with a great one from MattRach, really good mix of guitar centric tunes man.
