RE: Life as a Festival

I love the juxtaposition of a park and a festival under a highway overpass in that last photo.

I cannot dance to save mine, or anyone else's life. I like metal. I can headbang and throw my body around in a moshpit, but I also like to be mesmerized by the skill on offer, the emotional outpouring of every member of an ensemble - and being engulfed in the unfamiliar tides of bodies who I am connected to because of it, even if I've never met, or will never meet them ever again.

I might be going off topic, but we have to make more time for things such as this. Always. Thanks for giving me a post idea. You might see it in a few weeks, or whenever I get around to it.

It’s next to a baseball stadium, actually part of it is held in the lobby of the baseball stadium. The psychedelic vibe and drunk passed out people on the floor of the baseball stadium and people swimming in the lake next to this concrete monolith is a juxtaposition indeed!

This one older performer did a Japanese reworking of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen with a crazy guitar solo at the end. It reverberated throughout the whole empty stadium and I swear, the sky ripped open!

Japanese people really tend to have a wall up, even in a places like this but that doesn’t stop the sense of peace and joy in the air in the mosh pit! If you want I can send you some videos

Tell me when you write that post!
