I am always disappointed that I do not know every language in the world, because it precludes me from understanding all the art, all the literature, all the music, and all the wonderful things that exist outside of the expressionistic languages that I do know.
Anything not in English for me, makes it less accessible, and that's upsetting, because I cannot even begin the delusion that I will conquer other languages with the some fluency of my mother tongue.
I noticed this post was in the flame - firstly, I'm not an admin or a mod, just a passionate contributor who was invited here by @raymondspeaks a few weeks (or perhaps, months ago).
In my opinion, this sort of post does belong in the flame. I suspect it has been muted in the community due to Rule 3. It didn't stop me from reading or voting on it, though. The discord community for The Flame doesn't bite (perhaps it burns a little) and I've had a few good philosophical discussions there. I will be continuing to contribute, but I just wanted to give you a heads up and an explanation as someone who respects your writing and the efforts you put into hive VERY MUCH.
I'm quite sure I was invited at some point, but thanks for the explanation :) I did wonder. As for the language barrier, indeed, and I resonate. This felt like a bilingual post, and I try to honor that, even as I realize I should perhaps give better explanations :)
