Our community's weekly live music celebration reaches musicians and listeners globally on a virtual stage, upholding the classic pattern of an open mic event. At the end of each week, we enjoy a community concert, highlighting a Spotlight Artist.

Our song circle is a place of belonging for anyone who appreciates live music. Our creative space offers a chance to build real relationships worldwide between music fans and musicians of every style and any skill level. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are co-creating a more harmonious world by sharing the joys of music.

This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Folk & Symphonic Metal.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.

How To Play

1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Esta temática me gusto desde que supe de ella, pues me gusta mucho tanto el Folk como el metal sinfónico. Espero ver muchas participaciones maravillosas esta semana.

"My Immortal" by Evanescence was the most perfect choice of song that I could think of. It starts out as a folky heartsick piano ballad, but just as the song transitions from the bridge into the final chorus, the beat drops and it turns into a kind of symphonic metal climax!!:

Yo, what's up, Hive Open Mic crew? Like I mentioned to @stefy.music, I ain't too deep into Folk or Symphonic Metal, you feel me? I asked her if I could drop some Rap vibes with a little aesthetic nod to the game, and she threw an upvote my way, so I took that as a green light, haha.

Today, I'm bringing y'all an all-original joint for HiveBlockchain. Trying to solidify myself as a Hive artist, spreading love for our beloved blockchain through tunes that resonate worldwide. We're talking crypto-town, but it's essential we break outta that bubble too. I'm bringing that energy I feel as part of this movement. Mixing in some drill-style beats, and repping Hive hard in the lyrics.

Olá amigos da comunidade Hive Open Mic. Como eu havia falado com @stefy.music eu pouco entendo sobre Folk ou Symphonic Metal. Eu havia pergunta a ela se eu poderia fazer meu Rap com alguma referência estética sobre o assunto. Ela deu um upvote no meu comentário então eu encarei isso como um sim haha.

Bom, hoje trago uma canção totalmente original para HiveBlockchain. Se querendo me firmar como um artista Hive, que promove a nossa querida blockchain nas músicas que rodam o mundo. Principalmente no mundo cripto, porém é super importante furarmos essa bolha. Tento trazer a energia que eu sinto fazendo parte dessa construção. Com elemenots de drill no ritmo, e muita referência Hive na letra.

No quería perder la oportunidad de cantar este tipo de género musical. Relacionarlo con momentos especiales. Dando como resultado una canción con esencia personal, que se sintiera en mi piel como una fuerte oleada del mar y su espumante roce en su transitar. Les vengo a mostrar esta nueva publicación, con contenido agradable. Con motivo de que todos tenemos ese lugar que nos genera paz.
