Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly live music celebration reaches musicians and listeners globally on a virtual stage, upholding the classic pattern of an open mic event. At the end of each week, we enjoy a community concert, highlighting a Spotlight Artist.

Our song circle is a place of belonging for anyone who appreciates live music. Our creative space offers a chance to build real relationships worldwide between music fans and musicians of every style and any skill level. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are co-creating a more harmonious world by sharing the joys of music.

For the 148th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Luz de Estrellas." In English, this means: "Starlight." This theme is chosen by our community's recent Spotlight Artist: @leandri. Everyone is encouraged to express and connect through: Luz de Estrellas.

This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Luz de Estrellas.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.

How To Play

1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. The subject that I bring to you with my accordion is a song by Kenny Rogers, the American singer-songwriter and actor, a true legend of country music, who sold more than 100 million records. The song is titled "Through The Years". It tells a very beautiful love story, I think that loving and being loved in this way is like being illuminated by a star.

I selected to interpret for you a song composed by the unforgettable Venezuelan cultist Simón Díaz "El tío Simón". It is about "Mi Querencia" (The land that I love), which begins by saying: "Morning star, lend me your clarity to illuminate the steps of my lover who is leaving" but that leaving is linked to the loneliness of the one who stays and the concern because who he leaves so that he doesn't have a bad time in the distance, once again she will ask the morning star for something... "If you do some work away from my solitude, tell the morning star to return you to me"

In the week of "Luz de Estrellas" we were in the Parsonage rehearsing the entrance song for the solemnity of La Virgen de la Candelaria, which took place on February 2 and marked the end of Christmas for us. As it begins by saying "Beautiful Candelaria, brilliant star" and on its festivity the light, symbol of Christ, true Light of the World, was celebrated, because I thought that song was very appropriate for my participation this week.

Hola queridos amigos de #hiveopenmic . Es un gran placer estar de vuelta y participar en éste gran espacio artístico.

Estoy muy alegre de volver a cantar para ustedes. incorporandome a la temática de "luz de estrella". Decidí participar en esta semana número 148 de este gran concurso con una canción que la relaciono directamente con la mencionada temática: "cómo llora una estrella", de Antonio Carrillo.

Ésta bella canción es todo un clásico de la música tradicional venezolana. Muchas han sido las versiones magistrales de grandes artistas como Ílan Chester, Oscar D' León, Jesús Sevillano, Hugo Blanco y Simony Díaz, entre otros. La relación que guardo de la misma, es simple. Ésta bella canción menciona en su contenido la comparación entre la mirada de la persona que se ama con la luz de una hermosa estrella. Les comparto la letra:

COMO LLORA UNA ESTRELLA
Recuerdos de un ayer que fue pasión,
del suave titilar que ayer yo vi,
de tu dulce mirar tu amor senti,
tu cara angelical, rosa de abril.

Como quisiera yo amar y ser

I am very happy to sing for you again. incorporating myself into the "starlight" theme. I decided to participate in this week number 148 of this great contest with a song that I directly relate to the aforementioned theme: "how a star cries", by Antonio Carrillo.

This beautiful song is a true classic of traditional Venezuelan music. There have been many master versions by great artists such as Ílan Chester, Oscar D'León, Jesús Sevillano, Hugo Blanco and Simony Díaz, among others. The relationship I keep of it is simple. This beautiful song mentions in its content the comparison between the look of the person you love with the light of a beautiful star.

I want to tell you that I remember this beautiful song very clearly and emotionally. Since it was one of the first pieces I was able to assemble in the #cuatrovenezolano.

I hope you enjoy my participation. A hug for everyone!

I share with you a little known but very beautiful song. It is called "Tonada de la luna flaca" (Skinny Moon Tune) and the theme of the author's imagination is that the moon becomes pregnant with a comet and gives birth to a bright star. Cuando vivimos en altivez sobre los demás perdemos el norte y la Humanidad. Es mejor pedir por medio de oraciones el consejo del altísimo, para no contaminar nuestro ser del ego, egoísmo y del poder. Ya bastantes guerras se han alimentado con estos ingredientes insanos que no dejan ver las estrellas en el cielo por el humo que deja el fuego de las armas y que alimentan el dolor del inocente. 🙏

When we live in arrogance over others we lose the north and humanity. It is better to ask through prayers for the advice of the Most High, so as not to contaminate our being with ego, selfishness and power. Quite a few wars have already been fed with these insane ingredients that do not allow us to see the stars in the sky due to the smoke left by the fire of weapons and that feed the pain of the innocent.🙏
