Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly live music celebration reaches musicians and listeners globally on a virtual stage, upholding the classic pattern of an open mic event. At the end of each week, we enjoy a community concert, highlighting a Spotlight Artist.

Our song circle is a place of belonging for anyone who appreciates live music. Our creative space offers a chance to build real relationships worldwide between music fans and musicians of every style and any skill level. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are co-creating a more harmonious world by sharing the joys of music.

For the 143rd week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Voice of Hope." This theme is chosen by our community's recent Spotlight Artist: @magicfingerz. Everyone is encouraged to express and connect through: Voice of Hope.

This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Voice of Hope.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.

How To Play

1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Our comments might be the vital voice that gives a musician the wings to fly, or the gills to dive deep!

I bring you a romantic song by the Spanish group "La Oreja de Van Gogh"(Van Gogh Ear) , a musical group from the Basque Country that cultivates the Por Rock genre. It is about the song "Rosas" (Roses), it talks about the hope that a young woman maintains to see the man she loves return after he left her after making excuses that he himself did not understand.

Every Friday she waits for him, hoping to see him arrive as before. In a poetic and tender way, it deals with a painful subject: that of lost love, of heartbreak, of that situation in which one of the two stops loving but the other continues to love, dreaming and hoping for a reunion and a return.

Hope is the ideal state of mind to begin this year 2023, a new year, brand new, that God allows us to go through and from which we must anticipate that many good things will come... that is called "hoping" and my participation is with the song "Color Esperanza" (Hope Color) by Diego Torres.

By tradition, hope is associated with the color green, it is associated with spring, with that rebirth of life after months of deprivation. Diego Torres's song is an invitation to "paint your face with color of hope", to believe that the impossible can be achieved, not to get discouraged when after walking for a long time it seems to us that we are still spinning in the same place. And it talks about renewing and changing "it's up to you."

I choose this song because it talks about love... and heartbreak. And in both shines hope. The one who loves hopes to be loved, hopes that the other will never leave him, and if he is abandoned, hopes that the other will return and that they will no longer be separated. Circumstances are changing... but hope remains and goes from hope to hope, marking each step on the path of love.

Si alzamos la mirada y contemplamos el cielo. Es un momento visual que nos deja una reflexión: Aunque lo negro de la noche nos arrope en su oscuridad, el tiempo esta contado para ver de nuevo el resplandor de un lindo amanecer. Luz que es como el recordatorio natural de Dios en la tierra de que aún nos quedan muchas cosas porque seguir luchando con la esperanza y fuerzas renovadas. ¡Nada nos detendrá, si tenemos la mirada puesta en Dios! ¡Feliz año para todos!
