Our community's weekly live music celebration reaches musicians and listeners globally on a virtual stage, upholding the classic pattern of an open mic event. At the end of each week, we enjoy a community concert, highlighting a Spotlight Artist.

Our song circle is a place of belonging for anyone who appreciates live music. Our creative space offers a chance to build real relationships worldwide between music fans and musicians of every style and any skill level. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are co-creating a more harmonious world by sharing the joys of music.

For the 139th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Work of True Love." This theme is chosen by our community's recent Spotlight Artist: @donirosayandi. Everyone is encouraged to express and connect through: Work of True Love.

This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Work of True Love.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.

How To Play

1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week 139,” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. "Work of True Love" - this is a perfect opportunity for me to sing "A Song of Hope", written by my good friend @clairemobey. We perform it together as a collaborative duo called "MobeyDick".

Claire was inspired to write the song while helping local charities assist the homeless during the worst days of the Covid Pandemic:

Hello, my dear community of music lovers, we arrive at week 139 with a very suggestive song: "Work Of True Love". This theme has been proposed by @donirosayandi, a prominent musician, guitarist and composer from our community, who has already been sharing his talent on our network for five years. He is one of the valuable musical representatives of Indonesia.
Thinking about true love made me remember a song that bases its lyrics on chapter 13 of Saint Paul's epistle to the Corinthians where it is said that the most important thing is love, that it doesn't matter what we do, let's say, we are , let us have, if we do not have love, we are nothing. My very dear community of musicians and music lovers @hiveopenmic, I come again in the company of my friends to participate in this week 139 in which the theme that motivates us is "Work Of True Love", proposed by our recent Spotlight Artist
@donirosayandi. Theme that led me to consider the possibility of working with the song "Lost In Love" that was popularized by the extremely talented Australian duo "Air Supply". An extremely significant part in this song It's when it says "I realize the best part of love is the thinnest slice" that I give my personal interpretation: "True love manifests and shines in the smallest details" and it is that: when love is true, everything in it is valuable, big and small, and it is what changes our lives for the better, what leads us to be better, our "engine for good".

I bring you a song that tells a story, a story of a love that extends beyond death.

I consider that a mother's love is the greatest and truest thing in the world, that's why I selected this song "Hoy he vuelto, madre,a recordar" (Today I have remembered you, mother, again) to participate this time.
It is a wake-up call, a complaint, since it reflects the case of the son or daughter who remains very close to their mother as a child, but, as they grow up, moves away from her, returning to her side more and more sporadically. . Sometimes, in the last meeting, in front of the deceased mother, regrets come, but it is too late, time does not go back.

Dios me sostiene con sus cuerdas fuertes de amor en los momentos en donde yo por mis fuerzas no puedo sostenerme o me siento vulnerable. También por medio de esas cuerdas obtengo ese soporte e impulso que me permite avanzar con su bendición. Soy como ese escalador que tiene fe y seguridad que su arnés le brindará protección y la victoria para escalar ese empinada montaña. ¡Finalmente Llegar a la cima!

This week the theme, proposed by Indonesian guitarist @donirosayandi, recent Spotlight Artist is "Work of True Love." And it is that true love exists, remains and manifests itself in many ways, one of them is music. Today we bring you with love a song that we premiered with you, it is a Christmas song that was composed (lyrics and music) for us by the prolific creator named Landis Lecumberre @lecumberre. In its last stanza he says "... to God of goodness we ask for a life of love and prosperity for you" and that is that prosperity without love will be an empty prosperity and without happiness. Love, true love, is at the center of everything good that is in our lives, and it is born from the perfect love that is the love of God.
