Our community's weekly live music celebration reaches musicians and listeners globally on a virtual stage, upholding the classic pattern of an open mic event. At the end of each week, we enjoy a community concert, highlighting a Spotlight Artist.

Our song circle is a place of belonging for anyone who appreciates live music. Our creative space offers a chance to build real relationships worldwide between music fans and musicians of every style and any skill level. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are co-creating a more harmonious world by sharing the joys of music.

For the 136th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Let's Rock!" This theme is chosen by our community's recent Spotlight Artist: @maitt87. Everyone is encouraged to express and connect through: Let's Rock!

This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Let's Rock!” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.

How To Play

1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Our comments might be the vital voice that gives a musician the wings to fly, or the gills to dive deep!

Estoy segura que harás una gran presentación. Para mí rockear no significa encasillarnos en un estilo musical, se trata de disfrutar lo que cantamos o tocamos y querer que la música no pare.

I totally agree. I don't feel too good when there are no comments on my entry.

I always look forward to the feedbacks so I can know where to improve. The members here have been really nice by leaving comments on my post.

For the theme, we are so sing rock music?

I don't have a good. Rock music has not been my thing too.

Hello dear @hiveopenmic community. This is the second time I have participated in this magnificent event. The theme for this week is "Let's rock" (Let's rock) , proposed by our recent Spotlight Artist @maitt87. Rock a musical genre that originated in African-American melodies mixed with other rhythms at the end of the 19th century. But it was at the beginning of the 20th century when it was consolidated.

Hello, my esteemed Hive Open Mic community, between sounds of instruments and voices we have reached week 136 of this great event. This time the theme is categorized as "Let's Rock" and was suggested by our recent Featured Artist @maitt87.
I selected to participate this time a rock classic, the song "How Deep Is Your Love", a soft rock, a romantic song, which was masterfully interpreted by the Bee Gees that emblematic British pop rock group made up of three brothers: Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb who left an indelible mark on popular music in general and on rock in particular.

My dear community of @hiveopenmic, in this week 136, our recent Spotlight Artist @maitt87 proposed "Let's Rock" as the theme, this made me get out of my "musical comfort zone" (first time I sing rock) with the song "To Fly" by Melissa, a singer of Venezuelan nationality born in Peru, who, from 1985 was called "La Reina del Rock" (Rock Queen) and also "The Venezuelan Madonna ".
In addition to rock, she made stupendous performances in the jazz, pop and ballad genres. I hope you like this version that I did with the support of my colleagues from the Venezuelan Power Musical Group (Name devised by @fernanblog) from Villa de Cura, Aragua state, Venezuela.

My dear community, in this week 136 we are joined by the theme "Let's Rock" at the suggestion of our recent Spotlight Artist @maitt87. I participate with an original song called "El Tiempo" (The Time) that has a message that I think will be useful to all of us. "Let's Rock" is an expression that - I learned it here at Hive Open Mic - invites us to do what we like the most. That's what we did in this video...even when you see us a few serious because it was already late and the exhaustion of a hectic day gave us up...we enjoyed it.
