Just Be Ready To Take Anything As A Leader

Leadership is something that some persons just run away from not that when they finally gets into it they will not do well but because they know that leadership requires lots of sacrifice. Most times the leader gets to be blamed for any little fault. For instance, for some days now light have been a serious struggle in my area, now a natural mind will just give the whole blame to the government and what led to the light issue may not be far from him.

There are different leadership skills that we have and each of them have its own advantage and disadvantage. There is this issue we are involved in right now that all I can see from it is the leadership style been used is so weak. The sent man of the organization uses this freestyle system of leadership and this has not been working well. There are times as a leader you allow things to flow and there are times one just have to stand on implementing a decision because that is what is best for the organization at that time.

Over time I have not been a person of the front I always like to give my support from the background this have helped me to get so much experience that a times people wonder how I get to know what I know. Growing up I don't relate so much with my mate, I have always enjoyed relating with those older than me and those that have more experience.

Thinking I was going to continue that way failed me when I went to serve my father land. After the posting I found myself at the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship family house though not by mistake, I already made up my mind to be there because I have mingled with them a liked how things are done there. We met some persons there and I kept observing how things flowed, a time came that they need to hand over to the next set as they were about passing out. Everything I did not to be among the executives failed me, I was chosen to be the secretary of my local government. That was going to be a big task because I will have to plan programs, take minutes and all that.

There was a coordinator who was higher than me in command, but the issue was that the experience was not there and taking decision was so difficult for him. Well, later our predecessors regretted why they made him the coordinator instead of me. Now I had to step up to do a lot of cover up so things will not fall out of place. Doing this there was a day I entered into so form of misunderstanding with some members in the house because they were going against the rules. Now if the standard is not maintained those coming behind will also miss it to.

Been in Leadership position is not an easy thing at all because there are people that just there waiting for something to fall out of place so that can blame you with all they have. In all am glad that it all ended well and till that those I served with still relate well with me. Serving as a secretary also helped me to improve in my secretarial duties at least as I was not able to go for I.T during my undergraduate studies that one served well.

Let me leave this piece as I conclude, use every opportunity you have well to affect the people around you positively, let it be that when your name is mentioned it will ring a food bell in the heart of those that know you. I did my best while serving in the position I found myself in though I wished I have more to equip the house I left.
