At Mundo Autismo, we have resumed presenting the "Musical Healing Report," which had been on hiatus since 2023. This weekly segment serves to highlight the value of music—in any form—as a therapeutic resource.
To this end, the report will showcase a variety of musical genres; music is universal and serves as a valuable tool for catering to diverse tastes and needs, whether or not an individual is on the autism spectrum.
Behavioral specialists have recognized the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing the repetitive and stereotyped behaviors associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)—behaviors that are defining characteristics of the condition.
That is why music as therapy is used to provide complementary support in cases of autism, yielding positive results in emotional and behavioral regulation. This is achieved through sensory stimulation, using rhythm to focus attention and motivation.
It is undeniably true that music has the power to influence emotions, behavior, and communication, making it an excellent therapeutic tool for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Therefore, we have decided to highlight some posts by valued Hive users who passionately champion music from various niches.
Below are the top-rated posts, primarily from various music communities on our Hive platform. We encourage you to enjoy the content and show your support for the creators:
