You don't know how happy I have been during these days, I know that I have not shared music with you as is customary now in my publications but I want to tell you that I have been learning new things within music and it has kept me very happy, learning a lot and concentrated to get better and better.
I want to tell you and show you what I have been doing these days, learning and at the same time doing my first calibration and repair work on cello bridges.
They have been days of learning, work and effort, but they have been worth it.
I have felt very good doing these jobs and it is something that I had not felt in my entire life, sometimes I think that I had not tried so hard to achieve things like this and this has been something comforting for me because it has fulfilled me; Knowing that my hands are useful for fixing and repairing makes me feel very good.
I want to show you through images made by me in the middle of the process of fixing a fairly old bridge, with an incorrect inclination due to poor placement and the tension it had been carrying for years due to the strings, and a calibration to improve and give greater satisfaction to the performer. when playing the instrument.

Les quiero contar y mostrar lo que he estado haciendo estos días, aprendiendo y a la vez haciendo mis primeros trabajos de calibración y reparación de puentes de violoncello.
Han sido días de aprendizaje, trabajo y esfuerzo, pero han valido la pena.
Me he sentido muy bien haciendo estos trabajos y es algo que no había sentido en toda mi vida, a veces creo que no me había esforzado tanto para lograr cosas así y esto ha sido para mi algo reconfortante porque me ha llenado; saber que mis manos son útiles para arreglar y reparar me hace sentir muy bien.
Quiero mostrarles por medio de imágenes hechas por mi en medio del proceso de arreglar un puente bastante viejo, con una inclinación incorrecta por mala colocación y la tensión que llevaba por años debido a las cuerdas, y una calibración para mejorar y dar mayor satisfacción al ejecutante al tocar el instrumento.

The wood went through a hydration and wetting process so that the doubles it had could be removed by means of presses.

Here you can see the way I put the presses and the boards to gradually remove the double that I had, this process lasted one day.

After spending 24 hours and a few hours to let the mode rest, I began the calibration process.

After having the measurements I began the sanding process, very carefully until I reached exactly the line I left for the measurement.

Once the sanding was ready I began the carving process, although legally I am doing a "brushing" to make the upper part where the strings will be placed thinner.

After brushing I sand again to give it the final touch.

Result after a complete sanding to remove the "dirt" from the wood and make it look better aesthetically.
