Forgiveness

One of the most important thing in the world is to forgive and be forgiven.

Forgiveness is the key to happiness. We can never forgive unless we know how to forgive, and we can't know how to forgive unless we have been forgiven. Forgiveness is all about love, when we forgive those who sin against us, it frees our mind and spirit from the burden of resentment, it frees our heart from the burden of anger, it frees our body from the burden of hate and it also frees our conscience from the burden of guilt.

A by-product of forgiveness is that you not only become happy but you also ensure that your happiness increases every day. If you have unforgiveness in your heart and mind, your happiness will decrease every day.

There is no need to continue hurting yourself or others over past hurts and mistakes. Just forgive everyone who has hurt you, or mistreated you. The moment you do this your life will start improving in every way possible.

I chose this song because it is about one making a promise to God after being forgiveness of their sins.

Song Title: Oh Jesus, I have promised.
Lyrics:

  1. O Jesus, I have promised
    To serve thee to the end;
    Be thou forever near me,
    My Master and my friend;
    I shall not fear the battle
    If thou art by my side,
    Nor wander from the pathway
    If thou wilt be my guide.

  2. O let me hear thee speaking
    In accents clear and still,
    Above the storms of passion,
    The murmurs of self-will.
    O speak to reassure me,
    To hasten or control;
    O speak, and make me listen,
    Thou guardian of my soul.

  3. O Jesus, thou hast promised
    To all who follow thee
    That where thou art in glory
    There shall thy servant be.
    And, Jesus, I have promised
    To serve thee to the end;
    O give me grace to follow,
    My Master and my friend.

Autor John Ernest Bode
Letra:

  1. Jesús, yo he prometido
    servirte con amor;
    concédeme tu gracia,
    mi amigo y Salvador.
    No temeré la lucha
    si tú a mi lado estás,
    ni perderé el camino
    si tú guiando vas.

  2. Y si mi mente vaga,
    ya incierta, ya veloz,
    concédeme que escuche,
    Jesús, tu clara voz.
    Anímame si dudo;
    Inspírame también;
    repréndeme si temo
    en todo hacer el bien.

  3. Jesús, tú has prometido
    a todo aquel que va
    siguiendo tus pisadas,
    que al cielo llegará.
    Sosténme en el camino,
    y al fin, con dulce amor,
    trasládame a tu gloria,
    mi amigo y Salvador.

Whoever wants to be really happy in life must make the decision to let go and let go no matter how hard it is! Of course, everything is with the help of time, but we must take that first step and the rest will come by itself!

Thank you so much for participating in this week's Hive Open MIc!

I recommend you to comment to other users and always try to improve each of your presentations!

God bless you!
