Once followed the trail.
I still don't know why, I mean what's the reason for such a dislike but certainly I've heard people say they don't like music, not at all.
And in moments like that I think to my self..."that's a sad thing", myself agrees with my thought to him and respond...
Passing through life without liking and enjoying music and its powers as well as passing without knowing love, it's just that, passing through, it ain't fucken living at all.
Yes, myself gets a little intense sometimes and after agreeing with him I said, woah, woah...slow down and don't go that way, if they don't we do like music, today is saturday, our body knows it, our mind knows it and also our heart and ears know we are at....
SATURDAYSELECTIONS.
Some history. (Not that long)
I heard this term, #saturdayselections, some weeks ago for the first time, at least that's when I noticed it, and it attracted my attention for 2 reasons:
It was music what he was talking about.
It was fucken music what he was talking about mate!!!(It was also well presented I must say)
So, like any music suggestions I recieve from anyone who has at least 2 forehead fingers...
Some common sense, logical thoughts, smartness, wiseness, intelligence and etc signs of good taste.
...I checked it out. When I get to check out and I happen to like the findings then I proceed to follow the trail, dig a bit deeper and keep on looking for some other music from the group or singer suggested, just to see if what they got is worth it to keep, if it is then I proceed to download and playlist it.
That's what happened with this group. I liked the suggestions very much and downloaded them, but this song I found after the deeper-trail-followed-digging in the latter search captivated me a bit more than the rest, so, that's why it is my first choice for today's selections(that and that my friend used in his selections a couple of the others back then, otherwise I'll add Blessings as well).
So, my first go is for -Simple from Florida Georgia Line-
Besides being a country song (which I happen to like a lot even without knowing as much as I'd like about the genre), it's a beautiful and well video presented song (meaning the video stands back for the song and viceverse , plus well related on both, visual and lyrics content). Anyway, it's a beautiful song that guess most of you already know, and if you don't you might wanna take a look at( or a listen to) it, if you don't like it I won't hate you... that's why colors and flavors exist, right? (What is a beautiful sound for me might be an terrible noise for you). I'll still be liking it a lot though.
So, after that first time and also mixed and shared the atraction with the always(so far) interesting and motivating engagement topics for the weekend, I decided to stick around for a while and be a part of this saturday sharing selections party and also get into the engagement topics writing.
The second one lyrics impacted as well as moved my bones with its sticky rhythm.
A brief anecdote.
Once I was driving an electric tricycle with some friends in the back, we were returning from a party, when I stopped in the semaphore red light this song started to play in the trycicle BT device. I jumped out of the vehicle, gave a dancing round turning around the vehicle and returned to the driver seat.My friends were stunned and surprised, they didn't see that coming.
Here I give you -Daddy Lessons-Beyonce and The Chicks-.
I like this one very much, it's got its country touch as well but also the message I get from it, I find it strong, tough, profound and touching(in its own particular way).
One way or another, fighting dark moments(both, methaforicly and literally), hunting wifi or data connection spots, almost posting late, too close to the dead line, checking out the time where I live compared to the Australia's, squeezing my brain against the clock both, to get a decent original juice for the post and for breaking a rule without actually breaking it just for fun(and to mortify galenkp a bit, I recognize it), I've been here every weekend since that day, I'm happy for that, it's been very fun and enjoyable.
With the 3rd choice I'll give it a go to -Till You can't -Cody Johnson-
This one's carrier of an important message for life as well, that sometimes we just don't pay the due attention. Take advantage of the moment and do it now, don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today cause maybe tomorrow you won't be able to.
I intend to stay here for more weekends engagements and selections ahead, I really like it here and I'm starting to meet very interesting and fun people. When that happens I get to stay because I know I'm about to learn a lot from their sharings.
So, I'll kick this off with my 4th one , I gave the closure mission to love with -Bonfire Heart from James Blunt- which I also like a lot. I haven't dared to karaoke sing it in public though, but the day is coming, I'm no singer but I dared a lot. Nothing to lose right?
Hope you all got a great rest of the weekend folks.
I'm going to say this without fear of being judged by my fellow countrymen: I love country music.
Our country music is beautiful, and I enjoy it, but to be honest, it doesn't captivate me like this one... it's something I can't help.
Of all the songs you're bringing us today, I'm going to stick with Beyoncé sharing the songs with The Chicks, and the voices of Cody Johnson IS amazing. James Blunt is a standout... that nasal voice is unmistakably melodious... I hope to hear you sing your own Blunt version.
And it's nice to see that you join in the musical selections every Saturday... Well done @hdez781220 .
🥂
It happens the same to me and our country music, however this other countries country music is spectacular. That song of tje Chicks and Beyonce is one of my prefered, the lyrics are strong and profound in fatherhood sense and life itself. James Blunt is great, I recently knew he was a soldier first, he has a song of that and I want to sing it in one of those daring moments I have, but the song is hard as it is to follow his notes, let's see if I can do with taht something alike the other one I sang from him.
Thank you my dear. 💚😉
Ohhh, and fear not, there will be no judment at all...:)
Oh, I didn't know James was a soldier either, or is he a soldier? I love his song "Beautiful," phew... it's super cute.
As for Beyoncé and the Girls, I can tell they rocked the stage with their performance. I don't understand all the lyrics, but you can tell it's a song with a strong message from some of the verses I do understand... I need to learn more English; at least through music it's easier.
I know you won't judge me for my musical tastes, which we actually share, but I could hurt other people with my statements... 😁
Well, I guess he's no longer a soldier, but he once was. Cute...mmm...I can't say but he's a good singer, jajaja, of your husband gets you on that cute thing tomorrow there'll be no breakfast cooked for you, jajaja.
😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shhh...don't even mention it, especially because of everything she tries to cook, the best thing she does is breakfast...😅
🤣...breakfast is a good start right?...
Beautiful selection.
Thanks
