WE ARE HERE FOR ALL OF US
This morning I woke up to the song "we are here" by Alicia keys somewhere far off (probably one of my neighbors) and I remembered that I'd heard the song sometime ago. Somehow hearing the lyrics we are here for all of us was a strong message for me.
As I was searching through my device to see if I had the song, I remembered something a classmate shared with me in high school more than ten years ago.
It was something she wrote from somewhere and although I can't remember the exact words, the idea was something that left an impression.
It was something about life being interconnected and nothing really existing for itself alone.
Water exists for life to flourish
Plants make use of water to grow
Animals need plants to survive
Humans need both plants, water and other animals
In one way or another, we are connected with all the life around us no matter how insignificant it might look. I eventually had to go watch the video again on YouTube.
Here's some part of the lyrics
Let's talk about our part
My heart touch your heart
Let's talk about, let's talk about living
Had enough of dying, not what we all about
Let's do more giving
Do more forgiving, yeah
It talks about all the struggles, problems we face and create as humans. How much the world would be a better place if we spent that much energy simply loving one another.
The chorus amplifies the message and we hear a resounding
We are here
We are here for all of us
We are here for all of us
That's why we are here
why we are here
We are here
