Last Sunday, while I was drying my hair with the fan (Asian thingz), I caught myself staring blankly at the ceiling. Exhausted and with a pulsating headache, I suddenly remembered my college days.Played some FOB (Fall Out Boy) from my playlist, and the memories just started flowing back... I wasn't like this years ago.
Can people die of sleep deprivation? I understand that it is unhealthy to catch up on sleep in one blow and then dperive yourself again over the next few days. Handling students who are taking the Gaokao—the most notorious exam in China for upcoming college students—is the hardest task for me every year. It has been extended this year because of the many holidays, all while I am still managing normal tutorial classes in the evening.
Back then, I remember partying all weekend and going straight to school on Monday to take an exam on little to no sleep, passing with flying colors, and then partying again that same night. And repeat. It was the same cycle for all four years of college. Good times. I didn't know how... but i survived. I am just not sure now! LOL 😅😮💨

I was at the record release show for the 2005 album! The first single had yet to blow up on radio & MTV yet but was about to! I also saw and met Fall Out Boy years prior when they often opened for other bands at small clubs. I was one of the few who heard them way early. It’s funny how they evddd up being so massive and not just for a couple albums but continuing to have mainstream success years later with more hit singles.
I was into the punk scene and was there early for the 2000’s emo wave and saw so many bands early before they had success. We could prolly talk for hours about these bands/scene!
