mi piace uscire in giardino e programmare i miei contenuti social
Poi mi piacciono molto i videogiochi.
A volte fare musica è difficile, è detestabile.

Good morning Hiveans, Italians and non-Italians.
I've been thinking about this topic for a while. Every now and then I talk about it with my friends and I think it's a good way to inaugurate my presence in the Olio di Balena community.
I like to stay in my garden while scheduling my social content
We talk about hobbies, passions, interests, having something that gives meaning to the time we spend on this earth. These thoughts come almost violently to my head especially when I hear about someone who retires but decides to stay in their job anyway.
Maybe it's simply a kind of personal outburst, because I really can't understand how certain people really have nothing to do in their life other than work. Then they find themselves without a job and die inside. And look, I'm not talking about people who are passionate about the work they do, on the contrary.
They decide to continue working even in retirement because otherwise they would stay at home all day in front of the TV... at most they would end up spending their days at the bar playing cards and drinking (is it still a thing? I don't know).
Fill up your life with interests
I don't really wanna talk about these people, I just use it as an excuse to talk about how I live. Because you see, I have so many interests that I would like to live multiple lives to pursue them all until I am satisfied. The thing that bothers me most about having to work every day for my whole life is that it steals time from me that I could dedicate to so many other things that have much more meaning to me than working for someone else.
think Samu, think
In the end, of all my interests I decided to focus mainly on music.
In the past I drew a lot and for a short time I was learning oil painting. Then I wrote a fantasy book, which remained in a drawer. Writing is a passion that still survives inside me and I hope that one day it can find its space in my life. But I really would need another 8 hours a day - or not to work 🙃 - to be able to do it.
Then I really like video games. I know it's not something "productive", but even that at a certain point can become a strong passion that requires its time.
Why did I choose music? I really don't know. I think it's a set of events, circumstances, feelings that added together made the spark inside me blaze forcefully. Maybe in an alternative universe I would have attended a circle of painters or I would have gone to art school and I would have devoted myself to painting. In another one I would have frequented more bookstores, met authors and found other young writers to support each other.
Instead I found myself going to a concert every weekend. And here I am.
Music, and everything else fades out
picture from my last concert
You know, sometimes I laugh when I hear guys talking about how "music is their life". But they aren't musicians or singers. And often they only listen to the stuff that's shoved under their noses by the radio, at the disco or from tiktok. For those who truly have music as their life, they rarely say it that way. That's a sentence for Instagram.
If I had no other interests and tomorrow they took away my music, I'll tell you what would happen: I would turn off, consumed by my own inner darkness. You would take away the main purpose of my breathing. You would suffocate my brain, chaining it to a TV screen. Even video games - which I would consume relentlessly - would become more of a forced choice than a pleasure.
Even my social interactions would suffer. Because think about it: how much more interesting is a person who has a strong interest and is passionate than someone who "has nothing to do"?
For me, this means living off music. And be careful, it's not always a bed of roses. Sometimes making music is hard, it's hateful. Sometimes I really wish I didn't have to do it. But I have to. And damn if I feel alive when I do it!
discouragement moments
I could go on for hours talking about this, but as much as PeakD is for long form content, our focus is not. Maybe we can continue the discussion another time, yes?
And beware, I don't want to be disrespectful or condemn those who live their lives without any particular passion, could be artistic or not. I just explained how I personally live this thing. My mind can't conceive of a life without at least one passion that fills your days with meaning.
In the meantime, we can talk about it in the comments. Thanks for your attention and see you next time!

You are clearly a very positive thinking person, so stay positive and that positivity will follow you around. You continue to impress with your wide spectrum of interests, it's a great thing. Your passion will eventually get you to where you want to be, I'm sure of it.
I am sure about my path, as long as I stay strongly connected to my believe that what I do is an essential part of my life and that there will always be someone out there that loves exactly what I do 💪🏻

On Hive a significant issue exists with automatic upvotes consistently rewarding the same individuals day in and day out
We want to address the issue of downvoting. It has caused pain to many people, and we want to make sure it doesn't happen again reply to @jacobtothe

We hope that those who genuinely care about Hive will reconsider their actions, as continuing down this path could inadvertently harm innocent users who are unaware of these issues
lol the Marky mark keeps dreaming
There's been a notable increase in frustration and concern among many users

Consider revising the value plan, as it's not providing significant benefits to HIVE
The Value Plan, as it stands, seems to be a one-sided relationship with the HIVE platform, where the benefits are one-way
Actions indeed speak louder than words, a fact we've all observed individuals may talk a good game, a whole lot of shit, but their actions often expose their genuine nature LOL
We consider it unwise to engage in harmful actions, even if you think you can escape the repercussions

On Hive, there's a user who frequently burns a significant amount of Hive LOL with his own accounts
How To Fool An Entire Population
it's so, so concerning to see Blocktrades delegating 2+ million Hive power to Buildawhale, and Buildawhale is downvoting legitimate content
We began sharing factual information following unwarranted downvotes on Hive it's all in the transactions
Upon examining our posts, you will notice they have been downvoted, and we've been labeled as scammers and spammers, which we find amusing. We consistently share new content
Once again, we ask why is our legit content being downvoted on Hive and what is the reason behind it. Hivewatchers ADM spaminator steemcleaners guiltyparties logic
We have Hive witnesses farming Hive, self-voting, operating comment farms, and self-funding projects with community resources

Man, this sounds like you were reading my thoughts!! Haha, I feel exactly the same way. When I have heard about people retiring and just sitting on a sofa staring at the wall and go back to work, or people who have time off and get bored and want to go back to work. Dude I work too much I want to retire right now, I would fill my days up with endless creative ventures!!
