Three artists I'm seeing live next week
It's been a long time since my last #threetunetuesday and I'm not so active these days on Hive for a couple of reasons, but this is not the space to talk about that.
We are here for the music and I just realized that next week I'm going to see three bands live in Milan, three like our #ttt format! Let's go!
THE RUMJACKS
I don't listen to celtic punk that much but I've been to some festivals with this genre of bands and I assure you, those nights I had the most fun in my whole life. The Rumjacks are the only band I know and listen to frequently and I'll se them live this Saturday.
Light in my shadow is a song stuck in my heart because it reminds me of a very important person I had in my life which I was used to go to all these celtic festivals with. She's the light in my shadow and listening to this song reminds me of those moments of pure happiness, dancing in circles, just having fun together and enjoying the moment like there's no tomorrow. Listening to this song always makes me cry.
AIRBOURNE
Basically AC/DC on cocaine, I love Airbourne. They never let me down and I'm never tired of listening to their music. When I need a boost of power and adrenaline, they're my go to band to hype me up.
I already saw them live three times and this Sunday will be the fourth one. Last time I saw them in Milan it's been one of the best concert of my life.
I will never forget the singer Joel O'Keefe coming among the audience, sitting on the shoulders of a man of the staff and hitting a beer can to his head untill it exploded. I was just behind him, getting my beer shower 😂
POPPY
I've already told how much I love Poppy in some old posts. I'm not ashamed to say I'm a total fanboy for her. I hoped her last album Empty Hands was better then it actually is, but I don't really care. It's still a good album and her concert is the one I'm most hyped to see. I even got the super VIP package with the early entry and some signed stuff. I really hope to be in the first line to admire my queen in all her beauty, screaming my face off 😍
Thanks for these 3 powerful tunes, and the stories related to each!
Somehow I didn't know of the first 2 bands. Both songs are excellent. I'll check out more Airbourne as I like AC/DC a lot and yes, I hear the similarity.
I know Poppy ever since she took over for Mars Argo in the musical pairing with Titanic Sinclair. This particulat song is new to me though, it rocks!
Thanks for the musical fun, be well, and enjoy the upcoming shows!

Someone said "AC/DC"?. 👀 LOL!
The comparison caught my attention, to be honest. And they don't sound half bad; a very excellent choice of songs and bands.
The last one really caught my attention because of its singer, obviously. Of course, the song's strong rhythm is also another interesting draw.
Excellent choice.
I love poppy's performance with Bad Omens (who I love). That's how I came to know of her. Her streak of collaboration with other top artists really put her on the radar. But I'm not fan-girling yet... I don't think I've seen her full potential.
Here is a mash-up of all of the above.
I also found Poppy through her collab with Bad Omens and I think her full potential is where she combines different genres in a single song. While in the last two albums she did a lot of screaming metal that is starting to sound all the same. I hope she'll go back a little into more electronics and strange future-industrial sounds.
What a peculiar version of Sabotage! Love the original song. This cover is impressive but could have been better imo 😊
Tunes.......
Fan boy for Poppy? I can see why 👌
Airbourne...
Yep, sums them up nicely!
Enjoy the gig auld stock 👌
