It's time to bring some more visibility to alternative music on Hive, and what a better place to find it than the Vibes competition?
So I decided to scroll through all the entries of this week, looking for the dark side of the Vibes ⛓

I still see that Celine Dion goes strong in this competition... Anyway, I struggled a bit to find some good stuff this time so I decided to go really heavy with my entry to steam out my frustration. Turn off the lights, because we love our music like our coffee... darker ☠️

A pretty straight heavy metal tune this one, with some odd signature here and there, a Dream Theater habit for sure. I'd like to play on of their song on guitar too, but I'm not ready yet 😅

As I said to him, I know just one song from this band, Miss Murder, because it was featured on the videogame Guitar Hero 3. I've found out just recently that AFI was a really big name in the emo scene in the early 2000s. Could be that in Italy at the time, emo teens just listened to Slipknot, Bullet for my Valentine and My Chemical Romance while AFI went totally unknown... Gonna listen to them now then
