The Alt side of Vibes - my selection from week 31

Before sharing my impressions about this week I have an announcement to do: I'm looking for a male vocalist to sing a Spanish rock song for the next Vibes competition. The song will be "Avalancha" by Héroes del Silencio. I love that song and their album and I want to play the guitar part. But I don't know how to sing in Spanish 😅 If you are interested just let me know in the comments, thanks.

It's time to bring some more visibility to alternative music on Hive, and what a better place to find it than the Vibes competition?
So I decided to scroll through all the entries of this week, looking for the dark side of the m... - I mean - of the Vibes ⛓

I see that even with a clear theme like "music from the 2000s" we still have a big tide of songs about Jesus spreading love upon us and such. Too bad I was closed in my room embracing darkness when he passed above my house. Maybe next time... or not ☠️

Look, before 2006 my main source for music listening was MTV. I wasn't an alternative guy yet, so I feel a nostalgic love for that pop music: Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, first two (mainstream) albums by the Black Eyed Peas, first period Maroon 5... But I'm not here for that. There's not much to share this time. Turn of the lights and let's go!

Holy moly this could be the first time I hear some metalcore in this place, thank you man! Actually I'm not a great fan of metalcore music unless it's really original and interesting. But here on Hive any metal related content gets my whole attention for sure.

I love Audioslave. I adore their first homonymous album, and Chris Cornell has always been a great inspiration for me. So this song is always in my heart as one of the best songs of all time, period.

End of the line. I hope you appreciated this alt side of the Vibes. This is not to add more competition, it's a celebration. For us all. Let's be proud together of what we're doing, knowing that probably is going to get less attention than the other entries out there...
