Hello my fellow Hiveans rock lovers!
Let's keep rollin' this format originally brought to you by @florecitamejias and @jesuslnrs

I have another great new band for you today to check out. I'll bring you to Italy and introduce you to one of my favourite rock band of all time.

DOBERMANN

Dobermann are a hard rock power trio from Turin (north-west of Italy, near Milan) formed by singer/bassist Paul Del Bello, guitarist Ritchie Mohicano and drummer Tony Burzotta.

I said new just because they are still a little unsigned band, but really they've been playing for almost 15 years together and they almost reached the peak of 1000 concerts!

They still play most of their gigs in Italy, but they've made several mini tours in England and some shows in Switzerland and Austria as well.

I found them thanks to my brother who's seen them performing as opening act for Inglorious (another amazing band that I'll be covering soon) and brought me their album Pure Breed. After that we've seen them live like 5 or 6 times and became friends.

In their first years they focused on Italian lyrics rock n roll with some punk attitude. But for their last two albums they decided to go for English lyrics instead.

Dobermann music is nothing new, a pretty straightforward hard rock with guitar riff driven songs. But how they do it... Oh boy! They play with a groove that is really hard to find in other acts. I can't explain very well how they do it. It's like they took the classic style of 70s rock and revisited to be more adapt to a crazy rock n roll summer party where everybody's dancing drunk as fuck 😂

Lyrics goes from the rock lifestyle, to singing about women and everyday life situations, sometimes with a hilarious twist like in "I fucking hate drummers" or "Stuck in traffic" (beep beep, beep beep, yay! - sorry 😅).

Ritchie is a hell of a guitarist. Not too technical but I love his style. Clearly inspired by Eddie Van Halen and Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme, but without being too complicated. He manages to play some very cool yet simple riffs with an amazing groove, weaving together rhythmic and solo parts all along every song. Combine this with Paul's straight punk bass lines and Tony's tight drum playing and you got an explosive mix of unstoppable rock!

My favourite song is "Pure Breed"

Sheeeee's puuuuuure Breed!

Amazing riff, pumping drums, powerful voice, rollercoasting guitar solo, catchy chorus... I love it whole and everytime I can't hold back from singing!

I've not heard of them, but they rock. The vocal harmonies sound a bit like Extreme. Nice classic rock.

There are many very good bands that remain unsigned but are excellent. I'd be interested in listening in both your languages, an Italian rock? I'll buy it heh,heh..... Thanks for the contribution.

I know many Italian bands of course (I'm Italian you know 😅) but few of them sing in Italian... I'll try to find one and bring it here 👍🏻

this band sounds great, I liked the way you described it, and it's great when you come across a diamond in the rough like this band. Thanks for sharing!
