Remember Who You Are

I'm sure of my beliefs
This is my world
That you like or not
I can’t stand the way
People criticize
How I want to live
What I want to be
It seems to be so useless
To try to make you think
I've just advised you
Now trust me
You cannot change my mind
Draw up to my side
Together we could walk
This very long ride ⛓
Remember Who You Are is my very first song as Harbiter. As I've said in a previous post, my songs are basically covers of the ones I composed with my previous band, Scyther. These are my attempts on creating music in a genre that is totally new for me and having a bunch of songs already written really helped me a lot in the process.
This song talks about finding your true self and sticking to it. Don't give much attention to other people that are willing so much to give you their opinions, especially when they don't really know you.
Because there's a deep side of our mind that truly defines our wishes, our behavior, what we think about the world around us and about the type of person that we really are. Beyond all the masks that we put on to appear, there is our true self and I think that not so many people know about it.
When you manage to remember any time who you truly are, deep within your soul, you create your own shield against unwanted opinions. So you become stronger. And that is crucial to keep doing what you love the most.
REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE
AND YOU WILL BE STRONGER
AND YOU WILL BE STRONGER
