Combichrist - full blasting electronic metal power

As usual, not a proper weekend experience because big bands on tour play everyday and this concert was on Tuesday in Bologna. Who cares.
As I've already wrote in this post I saw Combichrist live the last day of the Dark Malta fest and they happened to pass through Italy the week after that.
I was so blasted by their performance that I decided to see them again.
So, first of all... Who are Combichrist?

Actually Combichrist is Andy LaPlegua, a Norwegian/American singer and songwriter who founded the project in 2003. In these 20+ years of career LaPlegua released 10 albums working with many different musicians and finding touring members when needed.
Its effort brought Combichrist to be an established name on top of the aggrotech genre. Aggrotech is a music genre that combines a hard techno sound with typical aspects of industrial (and metal) music. Let's see it like a faster and more electronic version of Rammstein.

That's how aggrotech sounds to me, don't want to be the teacher here. If you know more please comment about it 😊

The song above, Get Your Body Beat, is one of my favourites, but I first heard about them through a Spotify playlist with this song:

Maybe not their top song but it fits perfectly for an EBM dj set.

It seems like Combichrist now are a real full band with drummer, bassist/synth player and guitarist in the lineup for some years and in fact they actually sound more like an industrial metal band. I must say that their studio works doesn't reach the full power level that you can experience by watching them live.

The precision in their playing and the combination of drum machine and live drums create a full wall of sound that hits you in the face with a strength I never experienced in my life.
People were jumping all around, everybody was so hyped and loaded. I was exhausted in the end 😂 but what a night! I really can't wait to see them again.

BONUS
After the concert all the musicians except for the singer came outside to talk to people. I met Jamie Cronander, the guitarist on the left with that wonderful red guitar and he said he's got another solo music project where he plays some lighter stuff, more in the darkwave genre. We kept contact on Instagram and who knows, maybe this could lead to a future collaboration? It would be amazing.
