Beer Saturday from Malta - Tasting strange beers

Hello BEER lovers!
Another #beersaturday post about my experience in Malta where I couldn't help but try some more unique beers.
Cisk is a local Maltese beer. I also had a chance to drink its original version, a simple lager beer with no particular standout notes. Unfortunately, I could say the same about this berry-flavored alternative.

As might be expected it has a sweetish taste combined with a more bitter aftertaste, given by both the hops and the berries themselves. The color is reddish. In short, the exact mix of sparkling berry juice with the malty aroma of the beer. Not so good lol
In my experience of home bartender and cocktail lover, I tried some beer cocktails and found out beer is very very hard to combine in a tasty way with anything else. It's just good on its own. If you combine beer with other liquids you're basically ruining the taste of both the beer and the other drink. Just drink beer.

CORLYX

Corlyx are a post-punk goth rock band that formed in recent years. What I like the most about them is their style, some kind of sexy goth glam, both in the visuals, the outfits and the sound.
I have a funny little story to tell you about them. After their concert I meet them at the merch table to speak with them, take some pictures, get the setlist signed. After a couple of hours I met them again in the line to get some food and they were talking to a woman. She was speaking Italian so I had a doubt. I go to them and ask (in Italian) "Sorry guys but... are you Italian?". They laughed and said "Yes, we are from Turin!" NO FUCKING WAY! 😂😂😂 And we were talking in English all the time at the merch stand lol
So I spent the next hour eating fries with them at their table, talking about the Italian goth music scene. What a surprising experience!
