The clash probably was the first pop punk band! I see some good influences of this band in other bands like green day etc.

The Clash were a huge influence on bands until today. They were true icons of punk! And in this song calypso!

I’d say it was the Descendents but only because I wouldn’t call the Clash pop punk. I’d give it to the Ramones punk f the clash count 🎸
