Rarely have I experienced Catharsis; the times I have, it's been in the process of musical creation, meaning, composing. Although I'm more of an arranger (creating music for existing songs), I also have a composing vein.

This magic of creating something from its genesis to its end is a unique characteristic of humanity. As one of the most important masters in Venezuelan history, Simón Rodríguez, said, "the creative power of the people" is a power that introduces something into the external world from the artist's hands.

For me, that is astounding and something profoundly mysterious—succeeding in conceiving a work from nothing until its appearance. While writing this piece, I was thinking about the struggles and battles I've had throughout my life. I also thought about other people who are with me, supporting me, and others who were important to me but are no longer here. I thought about many things, which is why I can't give it a specific title. Very simplistically, I called it "November 2nd."

It's like a summary of my life story, encompassing struggles, blessings, and experiences! I'm very happy to have conceived this composition because I've always been fearful of composing, but I believe this will be the beginning of a new composing stage in my life.

The Perception of a Piece.

I wanted to show this composition to several people and ask for their opinions. It's impressive because everyone came up with different answers. One said it caused them "Euphoria for something that was going well," another told me, "I felt peace and nostalgia," another said, "I felt like you were trying to reach for something but never quite grasping it"... and since the title is so simple, one can't form an idea of what motivated the work, and that, to me, is ideal.

In the end, everyone will give it the meaning that best suits them, that best aligns with their reality.
