Looking out to sea to see what he can see, memories of a roman emperor from this now tired old city. We shall head inland and enjoy the market to the church.
Dead Eyes, there are some fucking horrible looking things living in the water
I personally do not eat anything out of the sea or the river, I see no appeal the taste texture yeuch! Though it is all in the mind isn't it, as I have never ever actually tried anything, well apart from the odd Captain Bird's Eye cod fish finger....with chips....mushy peas....and curry sauce.
But they are quite interesting creatures to snap....the smell makes me heave though.
These fishmongers are made of sterner stuff than me
But give me a dead pig and I am in heaven
Ladies who also enjoy their ham.
Someone has spent time to create an origami fat boy and plonked him on a set of rubbish bins. Now probably resident in landfill or lets just hope rescued by a collector of oddities.
Along the way, through tiny narrow back streets, a true flavour of life, some of the interesting people I saw are here( )

Places of religion are like fish, good for photography. In my case rushed photography,-( run round, snap here snap there and hope for the best)- arrived early evening with about 15 mins to spare before the big old doors closed for the night.
Since Roman times the site has been one of religious worship, from the Temple of Augustus, through to about the 6th C and the entrance of the converts, and the building of a cathedrtal and stuff.....THEN Shhhnhhhhhhh! the muslims arrived and for a few hundred years we know nothing other than the Moors used whatever was here as a mosque.
Loving the way the hands come out of the wall to hold some sort of dish
By the 12th C the ownership had gone back to the Catholics and has remained so ever since.
Apparently there are 18 chapels within the building, the majority of which are sort of like just niches in the wall, a bit like pic n mix really, choose the deity that fits your agenda, kneel and prey and hope for the best. Not sure where an elephant and grapes comes into the story though.
Some fine intricate carving on the seats, reserved fot the "great and the good" and their "choirboys"
and one piece of special art dedicated to facebook.

Dragon hanger for lantern most effective piece of art, yup hands holding the bowl another small enchanting detail.
Fresh fish being a seaside town should be tasty treat, although legs of smoked ham definitely throws dice to be more favoured.

I accompany you in the feeling of not eating almost anything from the sea... I don't find it appetizing, not even attractive... While traveling on the coast of Buenos Aires in a seafood restaurant everyone ordered something with seafood except me who ordered burger... to this day I receive bullying 😂

No one would take the time to carve things like that anymore...especially not when you can generate a convincing image of same using AI in seconds!
Same with the individualized carvings on the "great and good" seats. Probably each of a different saint or something. Simply amazing amounts of skill and care went into creating those.
yes I agree now it is all prefabricated stuff.
