'Vaital' - New Original Music - Another Late Night Thing

all afternoon tomorrow and hopefully have a cool tune and video then, but till then, this is just another random thing. Still pretty rough, definitely haven't spent much time mixing or focusing on anything production wise, but I think this has the potential to be cool. I'll need to remove some parts for sure, and find cooler ideas for some drums and other bits, but overall I like the general direction. I started with the basic progression in Orang in Track 1, Cmin7Add4 and Gmin7add4. There is a variation on that in Blue, with a descending bass part that sort of alters the progression, making that first chord instead feel like an Abmaj6/9. We also the break/B section in Green which changes things up, Eb, Ab, Bb, Cmin, Bb, and Ab (with some variations/extensions in some parts). I started just adding things on top of this, some that use the same progression, some with a slightly stripped down version or single chord tones. The drums were initially the Onomatopoeia Kit, which has a glitchy, crackly sound, but after using Beat Scholar for some hats and snares, I don't think that'll work, so I'll find something else there. The beat scholar part also has a Spectral Resonator on it, with two LFOs to randomize the frequency and decay, and give us some cool bleeps and bloops. Finally I added a bass synth in Track 9, which mostly sticks to roots, though in the A section it follows the line in Track 1. I'll keep messing with this, hopefully get something more cohesive and share the results.
