'Twingtwang' - New Original Music - A New, Rough Outline of an Idea...
This idea came about mostly by accident
the other night, and so far I really like where it is going. There are things I think won't make the cut, but the general idea of the weird, dissonant bass and the drums is definitely gonna stay. I had initially just started with the single note line hard at the beginning (and 2 other times later on); I put an LFO on the transposition knob, and randomized it at first, which made for a cool effect. While listening to that happen, I heard what basically is the current progression for most of the tune, though things were randomized so I had to get rid of the LFO and try and recreate it manually. I think the actual sound I got wound up being cooler, and is handled by Track 7. The drums are mostly a simple kick pattern (occasionally filled in more to accent things) and a randomized hi-hat/snare track, which I recorded to audio so it wouldn't change each time around. Finally I added a distorted piano in Track 12, which follows the bass in Track 7. I like this but I'm not sure it fits with the digitized weirdness of everything else, so it may not make the cut, though I think a synth could fit so I'll keep experimenting and share the results.
