'Song 78' - New Original Music - A Quick DAWLess Idea...

this afternoon for a quick DAWLess jam, and this is the result. Basically, it's 4 different bass guitar bits (2 for the verse, 2 for the chorus), and then just Digitakt drums. I had the bass running through both the Astral Destiny (specifically for a Chorusy and octave sort of effect) and the Microcosm, which provided a super slight delay/reverb type delay. The Verse just follows a Bmin7 and A6, back and forth, and then a little melody line wayyyy up high. I do like the little chromatic run in the melody, that was an accident while playing along at first, but I went with it and re-did it once. The Chorus moves from Fmaj7 to Emin7, back and forth, but more arpeggiated than the Verse. In the Chorus, we just have the mid range chords, and then an actual bass part, playing the lowest F and E on the instrument (and other notes too). Finally, I booted up the Digitakt; on it, there was a basic beat from a previous idea, however, the BPM on this session were WAY slower than it was originally played at. I liked it, but had to simplify it a bit, and drop the swing entirely. For the most part, I like it. There is some flamming between kicks, hats and bass, but overall I like it a lot.
