'Song 67' - New Original Music - A Solo Digitakt Jam from Today...

while taking a break from work to try for a solo Digitakt jam. This wasn't technically a timed songwriting challenge, though I only spent 25 minutes or so on it. I wanted to try and do something kinda minimal; I didn't hit the mark entirely, but I like where this went for the most part. I think the drums need some work, maybe some smaller percussive sounds to fill things in, as well as removing the hi-hat part, as I don't like how it stands out so much. I do like the background chords, that sample is really cool and worked great with a loop, moving from Emaj to C#maj to Cmaj. I added two tracks that used a reversed piano loop, to get some two note hits, which I like as well. There's also a little synth swell that uses the slice machine to get a choppy rhythmic effect out of it. Overall, not the most exciting idea, but I think its a decent start, and I'd like to keep messing around and try and iron things out.
