on this, which was a 25 minute timed songwriting challenge, using only the Digitakt. I finally got the Digitakt + Loopcloud integration to work, which is really convenient actually. Granted you need to buy the samples to transfer them, but with the free trial, they give you a bunch of free credits to use. So, I'm gonna splurge over the next few weeks and get as many interesting samples as I can before the trial ends. I started with the bass and the ambient chord sound that you hear right at the beginning, both of which came from Loopcloud. All the drums are from Elektron packs, some 'demos' (which are limited versions of packs that, after paying, you get the rest of), as well as some free sets, including the 'Drench Case' set they released last month. I also used some other hi-hat, piano, and clicky, percussive sounds that I've found from various other sources over the years. Instead of mapping anything out in song-mode or on the device, I just recorded a single playthrough, which allowed me to incorporate the live filter edits and downsampling which turned out cool. Overall, I think this is my favorite idea in a while. I'm gonna be trying to play with the Digitakt by itself some more, its always a lot of fun.
