or listened to these guys, so I put them on this afternoon while working. I first found them via this track being used on the TV show Van Helsing. The show was kinda goofy, but the scene using this was awesome, and the song immediately caught my attention. It starts off with that creepy, ambient hissing and sub bass, and builds up throughout. There's an awesome turnaround with a super dissonant, weird chord progression that I love, which specifically was when I had to Shazam the song while watching that TV show. As I explored the band's releases, I became a fan. Their combination of electronic and hip-hop influenced elements with indie/rock stuff works great, and they definitely have an original sound that stands out in modern rock music. This song is from their 2016 album Hold/Still, and I definitely recommend checking out the album as a whole if you like this, as its a great listen. Each song is pretty unique, though the vocals and instrumental timbres keep a certain through line so it feels like a cohesive release.
