SUUNS - Nobody Can Save Me Now

I was listening to some new stuff

Canadian band SUUNS the other day, which led me to revisiting older albums I still really like a lot, and thereby making this post, hehe. I first found these guys with their song 'Paralyzer' being in a TV show. I really liked what I was hearing, so I used Shazam to find the band, and have been a fan ever since. The band has a great skill at combining electronic and rock elements together, sometimes leaning much more in one direction or the other, but always keeping an original sound and interesting songwriting stylings. This tune actually is the song immediately following the aforementioned 'Paralyzer' on their 2016 album Hold/Still, and the two flow together so well, though they're very distinct from one another. The former is dark, driving, dissonant at points, and this song is clear NOT that, but the background drone sounds help with the transition, and this somehow feels like the logical place to arrive (I recommend listening to it in context of the album as a whole, otherwise this analysis makes no sense, hehe).
