Grapthar's Daily Hive Music Feature: Rose McDowall - 'Tibet'

Rose McDowall - Tibet
A few years ago I found the band

Strawberry Switchblade entirely by accident, and absolutely loved their music. The group was a duo consisting of Jill Bryson and Rose McDowall, so eventually I found McDowall's solo releases, as well as her work with other bands and artists, including Current '93, which I definitely recommend (the pictured to the right is of her with Current '93's David Tibet). She has some really awesome solo stuff from the late '80s that I definitely recommend if you're a fan of Strawberry Switchblade, though her other stuff, particularly with Current '93 is also great, just in a very different musical direction. This song is from that late '80s time period, though I don't know if it was released at that time; I found it through the 2004 compilation Cut with the Cake Knife, but it may have been a single at the time. I don't know if the title is about the country or David Tibet, haha. I never really considered that till writing this blog, but I am now curious so I will dig into it.
