Grapthar's Daily Hive Music Feature: Knower - 'It's All Nothing Until It's Everything'

Youtube, like many other people did I'm sure. The group is a duo (sort of), made up of Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi, though all of their songs feature other musicians, and they tour with various players. Cole has become quite famous over the last few years, for his solo stuff and work with other artists generally, though Knower is far and away my favorite thing he has done. The guest performers who record with them and appear in the videos are often themselves well known in the online music (and often jazz) space, like bassist MonoNeon or Jack Conte (of the band Pompalmoose and CEO of Patreon fame). This song is features the duo, as well as Sam Wilkes on bass, Jacob Mann on keys, and Rai Thistlethwayte on piano specifically, though there is also a full string AND brass section used, which gives the choruses such a HUGE, beautiful vibe. I love how the band can shift from the jagged, angular, staccato verse, with the signature Knower kind of groove into those huge, expansive, soaring chorus parts. Definitely a testament to their writing and performance abilities.
