Hot Water Music - Loft

Hot Water Music is inarguably one

HWM playing live (Image Source)
of my top 5 bands of all time, and have remained on constant rotation in my life since I first discovered them in maybe 9th or 10th grade. I've seen them a bunch of times over the last 2 decades, opening for other bands I liked and also on headlining tours, though it's been 3 or 4 years since I last did, so I'm gonna try and catch them in the next year sometime. I'm also a fan of the members' various side projects and solo albums, of which there are quite a few. It's hard for me to pick any one song from the band to represent them in a post like this, as there are MANY across multiple albums that I think are just so damn good, but this one has always been an absolute favorite of mine. It was first released in 1995 on the Push for Coin EP, which it seems was later re-released as part of a split with the band Tomorrow, though I first encountered the song via Napster probably, maybe Kazaa, and then later via other compilations from the band. I've always loved the cleaner guitar parts in the verses, and even more the bass in the break, which is SUCH a great example of bassist Jason Black's insane writing.
