Aphex Twin - #17

Aphex Twin is one of a few artists

I could very easily just share everyday here, so I try and space out featuring him in my posts, hehe. But, I had both the Selected Ambient Works Volume I and II on this afternoon so I figured one of those tunes would be a good choice for today. Aphex Twin is one of a bunch of various stage monikers for Richard D. James, a now legendary DJ and musician. His style and music has influenced countless others, from all sorts of genres and styles. I first found the Richard D. James Album toward the end of high school, at which point that CD basically didn't leave my car until it was unplayable. Since then, I've explored his whole discography, and am always excited to discover new music being released. Today's song is from a classic, his 1994 Selected Ambient Works Volume II. For the most part, these are percussionless/beatless tunes, and feature some of James' most ambient and often pretty music, with far less of the glitchy madness that other albums are built around. This song has always been a favorite of mine, though there are a ton of great ones throughout.
