Afri-InLeo Intiative 54// what makes music good, the essence of great music.

Good morning my wonderful people, good day music lovers, hello my very own people we are back again to another contest topic which says "what is good music to you" what do I classify as good vibes what gets to me easily is what I am going to be looking at today stay tuned as you read further.

Since this is a music zone I would not be dabbling in to what music is because it is some thing we are all familiar with here so let's get straight down to business I felt the question to me was in the direction of how do I classify music, what type of music would I hear and feel it is on point so I would like to open this contest topic with this little talk, so I attended a church one day which was like a new environment to me and their activities is quiet different from where I attended so different functions where taking place, different groups were presenting ranging from the band, to the Zumuntamata, to the choir, to the sisters fellowship.

They all presented their songs when it got to the band which was the last presentation before the sermon commence a man picked up the microphone and lead a worship song, it was not just the beating of instruments it went beyond to the lyrics and how passionate the singer was while singing, goosebumps were all over me and from where I was sitting I saw the Rev father standing on his feet joining in the song, there were people that presented both in Hausa and English but this presentation was definitely different it got to the soul and resonated with every human being in that hall.

Some times music is beyond the voice or even the pretty face it is concerned with what message is this song going to pass across either morally or spiritually, does the music inspire people positively or is it a music that just pollute the soul, I do not actually mind if the music gets me all emotional, gets me dancing and moving around what matters is those this music enriches my soul. Listening to music is meant to shape us morally, shaping our beliefs and values, shaping us socially the way we relate and all, the atmosphere where you are matters and situations where music takes over our atmosphere what we listen to matters.

There was a time I was unstable emotionally, I was bitter towards a situation that did not go the way I planned it there by changing things for me and I had just got back home I could not bare to eat because my heart was heavy so I just walked in to my room I could not even change my outfit to some thing free on my body I just lie down like that on the bed took my ear piece connected it with my phone and I was listening to music, it did not actually take long before I came back to myself even though I slept peacefully in the process while listening to the music, it is beyond any thing physical it gets to my soul that is why this days I am conscious of what I hear.

Good music is the type that makes me feel alive, makes me feel happy, it feels that vacuum created in us some times, it is the type that bring back memories, the type that comes with authenticity, I some times consider music a friend because it is my companion when am just alone and lost, it feeds my soul it encourages me, it even get to me easily more than any other thing would, is it not just ridiculous how music can be a friend but it is actually mine. It is therapy to me in such ways where by it calms or even reduce anxiety plus stress, it is really a good mood swings tactics.

Having said much on music I would summarize by saying music is my friend, my buddy buddy and my therapist which makes it a big deal screening what feeds my soul, only morally educative music and gospel music that seems to be music to me because the rest to me sounds like me listening to a language I can not comprehend.
