MY MOVIE REVIEW: HOME ALONE
One of the things I really love about movies are the memories that are always attached to it. Growing up I have come across several amazing movies and I must confess that they really stick with me even in my head. Around 10 years ago if I can still remember vividly, I watched Home Alone and trust me, it was one of the movies that successfully helped me to stay glued to it for years. Even though it was acted in a comedy style around 1990 if I get the record straight, it was still able to pass strong and meaningful information to the viewers all through.
The movie was mixed with suspense, was mixed with laughter of course and also lesson for the movie. The movie was around 1 hour and 43 minutes duration long. The whole settings of the movie centered around this little boy called Kevin boy in the movie but his real name was Macaulay Culkin. It started a bit in a tragedy mode where his family traveled and forgot him alone. Actually that particular scene at the begining got me thinking? 🤔
What will have happened to me if I am in that little boy situation. Imagine my family travelled and forgot me at home. A small kid for that matter. Also I will say the two guys that acted as the burglars which was harry and Marv did their role excellently well. In fact, I believe most of the time we focus on the great job the little kid did in the movie, but to be realistic Harry and Marv make the movie much more exciting.
Talking about Kelvin who was the lead actor in the movie did a great job. When watching the movie, I keep thinking, was there a rehearsal done with the little boy even before acting the real scene of the movie because he did a great job. All of his plans perfectly carried out to torture the burglar actually did a great job.
Of course you can not watch that movie without not laughing. The expression, the torture, the scene and most especially the act that the little boy Kelvin carried out in the movie makes it look more funny but even beyond the laugh I got from the move, there is also the emotional part. I remember a particular scene when Kevin was really missing his parent . For me, it opened my eyes to see that family is everything and will be everything.
Not only that, the soundtrack used in the movie also makes sense and they did a great job. For me personally, I believe Home alone is a movie that you can continually keep watching and watching without not tired. I have watched it several years ago and I must tell you that sometimes I still watch it again. The film is all around as it gives you everything you need. Laughter, life lessons and the emotional connection. An absolute work was actually done for the movie.
Rating: 9/10
Definitely if I am to give it a rating, it will definitely be 9/10 because I know the much work that was put into the work.
