Like the scripture says that the fool has said in his heart that there's no God. The scripture also said what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loses his soul. It is vanity upon vanity.
Many people can not boldly stand and talk about Chirst because they are ashamed that there peers may see them or people may mock them. Some cannot even defense the bible if they're arguing with others because they thought they will be mocked.
Now I understand why Joshua said to the Israelites, chose for yourself the god that you will worship. Then he go ahead to let them know that he will worship the God that created the heavens and the earth.
Some people in the midst of tribulation and hard times, they will forget God, in any opportunity they have, they will curse God and regret coming to the world and stop serving God even going to church and activities in the church.
Job is a good example for all believers, in as much as Job lost all his children in one day, lost his cattles and sheep's in one day, lost everything that his lives for, he never cursed God.
Even when his friends came to mocked him, telling him it was because of his sins that all those calamity is befalling. He did even respond to them. The tribulation was much to the extent his own wife asked him to curse God and die.
But the true is that Job is innocent of everything they accused him for. He never offend God.
God was proving to Satan that Job is a man of faith and he will not denounce Him in any condition he found himself.
And Job prove to God that He is indeed the God that supersede every others gods.
Proclaim the name of the Lord in any condition you found yourself in.
Whether the world what to hear about Chirst or not. Be an exception, preach about God without no shame, not minding your peers and friends.
And God will not be ashame of you.
